Mapping
Mapping is really what Geomatics is all about! We are not talking about the familiar two dimensional paper map that helps you navigate the trails in Kananaskis Country. In Geomatics Engineering we have taken the map into the 21st century. Mapping is the integration of all our core themes and makes our discipline an exciting challenge. It includes the geometric and radiometric analysis of digital images, remote sensing from aircraft, satellites and ships, and the integration of all our core themes with GISs.
